Global Harmony

Making a difference, one port at a time.
Every port is a community.
Every community is an invitation.
To build a global legacy of compassion, sustainability, and shared responsibility—supporting communities and ecosystems through impactful giving and purposeful partnerships.
To identify and support high-impact charitable initiatives around the world by funding environmental conservation, community development, disaster relief, and cultural preservation. Through hands-on involvement and partnerships with local leaders, we empower residents and crew to give back to the global community and create lasting, measurable change.
This is more than travel. This is what happens when a global journey meets a community with purpose.
Four commitments that
shape every action.
These pillars guide every initiative, every partnership, and every moment of connection we create together.

Community Connection
People first, always.
Building genuine relationships with local communities through support, shared experiences, and meaningful participation.

Cultural Exchange
Understanding through experience.
Creating moments of understanding, remembrance, and learning through respectful engagement with local history, people, and traditions.
Environmental Stewardship
Protect what we love.
Supporting restoration, conservation, and hands-on ecological initiatives that help protect the natural beauty of the places we visit.

Resident-Led Impact
Compassion into action.
Empowering residents to turn compassion into action through projects shaped by personal passion, purpose, and collaboration.
This is why we show up.
Every smile, every laugh, every moment of joy — born from showing up, being present, and choosing to care. This is Global Harmony in action.

Belfast, Northern Ireland
Our very first tree planting event — residents planted apple, oak, and maple trees at Glenshane Country Farm, partnering with local farmers and Mid Ulster Garden Centre. Each tree stands as a testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship and the start of a journey planting trees around the globe.

Compassion can travel.
From the Caribbean to the Pacific, every glowing point is a place where our community chose to show up with heart.

In their own words — what it feels like when a journey becomes something more.

Global Harmony has created a meaningful way to bring our community together while supporting those who help make life on board so special. Once each quarter, we organize a clothing drive where residents donate gently used clothing through the ship. We then gather everything together for a special event where our crew members for the first hour then our residents can come and select items they may need.
It has become a wonderful opportunity for residents to give back and for our crew to feel appreciated and supported. The generosity of our community is always inspiring, and the event itself is filled with gratitude, smiles, and a strong sense of connection between residents and crew.
Global Harmony truly encourages a spirit of kindness and caring, and this quarterly clothing drive is a beautiful example of how small acts of generosity can make a big difference in the lives of others.

As a family, we've participated in several Global Harmony projects.
Volunteering with our kids in the aftermath of the Cebu earthquake was a valuable life experience for all of us. Seeing the photos of the devastation, knowing the length of time it took getting supplies to those effected and helping assemble kits for basic shelter showed the kids the importance of being part of an international community.
The fact that we also had Villa Vie crew members suffering from losses in the earthquake only made our small efforts feel even closer to home.

In working with Global Harmony with both the Hiroshima Memorial event and the earthquake response in Cebu, Philippians I have been thoroughly impressed with the organizational effort and compassion put forth by Global Harmony. My wife Lynn and I are proud to work along side this wonderful group.

As a combat veteran, I carry with me both the weight of war and the deep appreciation of peace. Today [August 25, 2025] our ship community folded paper cranes for the peace memorials of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and we visited these powerful sites together.
The memorials stand as solemn reminders of the horrors of war and as symbols of resilience, remembrance, and hope for a more peaceful future.
For me, this experience was deeply personal; a chance to reflect on when war becomes necessary, when peace must be protected, and how important it is for us to never lose sight of the differences.
May the cranes we leave behind carry our prayers for healing, for understanding, and for peace across the world.

Serving on the Global Harmony Foundation Resident Advisory committee has become a bonus to residential cruising. Within projects and even in preparation for meetings, I found answers to an unspoken, recurring question as a recently retired educator, administrator, and community leader: How will I make a positive difference now? The opportunity to facilitate for and to collaborate with other charitable souls, many of whom were also inspired by Villa Vie's commitment to the Global Harmony foundation, answers why I am so blessed to live this adventure of residential cruising. . . and I get to help build from the ground floor, the foundation from this beautiful cornerstone laid by VVR's pioneers while connecting with future educators, former students (see above for photo) and people from different places I never imagined I'd visit. What a gift.
This is how it works.
From heartfelt idea to meaningful impact — every project follows a journey shaped by compassion and collaboration.
The Spark
Resident Ideas Begin the Conversation
Many initiatives start with residents who feel moved to help, respond to a need, or connect with a cause.
The Shape
Projects Are Shaped Around the Mission
Ideas are reviewed through the lens of community benefit, cultural respect, environmental value, and feasibility in port.
The Bridge
Local Partnerships Are Identified
Project leaders research needs, reach out to local organizations, schools, charities, or community contacts.
The Action
Residents and Crew Participate
Some projects involve fundraising, some involve supplies, some involve excursions, cultural exchange, or hands-on volunteering.
The Growth
Impact Continues to Evolve
Global Harmony continues to grow through each connection, helping shape future projects and deepen community across the journey.
In our pilot year 2024–2025, projects began as passion-led ideas from residents aligned with the mission.
Community Highlights
Moments that showcase the spirit of giving, connection, and celebration aboard the Odyssey.

Thanks to an amazing community, we sold 105 tickets plus added some colorful face painting fun, raising a grand total of $2,297 in support of Global Harmony!
Congratulations to Tim and Susan, the lucky winners of the Sail Away Holiday Cocktail Party, graciously hosted by Melody and John. To make it extra special, Captain Emanuele himself drew the winning raffle ticket — talk about a first-class finish!
Thank you to everyone who showed up, showed heart, and helped make this event such a success. This is what community + generosity looks like.

Global Harmony reminds us that every port is more than a destination. It is a community, a story, and an opportunity to connect.
Villa Vie Residences Community

The journey is evolving.
Global Harmony is growing from pilot-year passion projects into a more focused annual initiative — with resident-led planning, identified project leaders, and stronger long-term alignment around meaningful support in ports.
In 2026, our residents gathered to brainstorm, propose, and refine new initiatives. What started as spontaneous generosity is becoming a sustainable rhythm of compassion — one that grows deeper with every year, every port, and every new voice that joins the conversation.
